In the Pre-Prep we use the PIPS testing programme (Performance Indicators in Primary Schools) which give an accurate picture of children's progress. Children's results in literacy and numeracy are compared to a national average and Key Stage One SATs predictions are provided.

Prep school children sit end of term tests or exams and marks are published with a child's result as compared to the class average. Key Stage Two SATs are usually also taken in Year 6. At the top of the school children sit Common Entrance and we enjoy an excellent record of success in this exam. We monitor children's reading throughout the school and are able to give an accurate reading age on request.
